Intro to the Pure Land School
n Buddhism, there are many paths to awakening.The Pure Land School focuses on faith, devotion, and practice.Through the 48 compassionate vows of Amitabha Buddha, the practitioners are assured to ascend to his Pure Land for enlightenment.

This course will include the historical background (origin, spread, founders in China), Core beliefs (Amitabha Buddha, Sukhavati world, the forty-eight vows), main practices and artistic and cultural impact. Other than that, Venerable Master Hsing Yun expanded the idea of rebirth in Pure Land to create a pure land in our daily lives through our actions, thoughts and environment.
